Clifford Chance has hired Robert Villani for its financial products group as a partner in the New York office. Villani has diverse experience advising clients on different securitization structures.
We are pleased to welcome a lawyer of Roberts caliber to Clifford Chance, said Craig Medwick, regional managing partner for the Americas. We are continuously looking for opportunities to improve our service to clients, and Roberts arrival adds even more depth and breadth to our U.S. and global financial products practice.
Robert is a recognized talent in the U.S. securitization community, added Steven Kolyer, head of the financial products group in the Americas. His experience and strong client relationships are an ideal complement to our existing structured products practice and will further strengthen our position in the U.S. and global markets going forward.
Villani joins Clifford Chance from Thacher Profitt & Wood, where he started working in 2004. Before that, he was a partner with Fried Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. He also previously served as vice president in the structured credit products and global securitization finance groups of JPMorgan Securities and its predecessor, Chase Securities.
