Cairn Capital appointed Folkert Jan van der Veer as senior credit analyst. As part of Cairns credit research team, Jan van der Veer will focus on financial institutions and report to Renée Toft.
Before joining Cairn, Jan van der Veer was at Dresdner Kleinwort, where he was responsible for credit research coverage of European financial institutions. He also served Dresdners client base of institutional investors. Before that, he covered financial institutions at ABN Amro Asset Management and equities at Kempen & Co.
Recently, Cairn gained management of several legacy portfolios of subordinate financial instruments, which created a growth in the company's assets under management and long-term advice of up to $26.9 billion as of July 1.
Jan van der Veers hiring will add to the groups credit asset management, trading, research, and advisory platforms.
