BMO Hires Fixed Income Strategy Head

BMO Capital Markets said it appointed Margaret Kerins and managing director and head of fixed-income strategy. She will be based in Chicago.

She will be responsible for building BMO’s strategic product (both Canadian and U.S.) as part of the bank's global fixed-income platform. This covers MBS. bonds and Treasurys.

Kerins will also supervise the BMO Capital Markets strategic analytics group, which reviews client portfolios and develops investment strategies.

She was most recently a managing director with U.S. agency strategy and RBS Global Banking & Markets. Prior to that she was director of agency strategy at Bank One and served as director of the quantitative research team at ABN AMRO.

BMO Capital Markets has 2,200 employees in 29 offices. It is part of the BMO Financial Group, which has assets of $542 billion and 46,000 employees
