European structured finance company Bishopsfield Capital Partners has hired Arjan van Bussel as a new partner to boost its advisory, real estate and structured finance businesses.
van Bussel was previously at The Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was responsible for European
commercial real estate (CRE) deals in the structured finance team.
He previously worked in structured real estate capital at ABN AMRO, having also been a key member of the bank’s Benelux securitization team. He started his career in 1998 in the RMBS asset division of Dutch bank NIBC.
“Arjan is a highly experienced all-round structured finance banker, recognised by clients for creating innovative solutions to complex problems," said Mike Nawas, founding partner at Bishopsfield. "He will significantly extend our advisory and structured finance offering to clients, as well as provide added momentum to the development of our real estate finance business.”
“This appointment will bring real value to our clients, derived from Arjan’s in-depth knowledge of
structured finance products and European credit markets," said Steve Curry, also founding partner at the firm. "Our clients will also benefit from his strong network of contacts across banks, insurance companies, investment funds and other financial institutions.”
“Bishopsfield Capital Partners is one of the most experienced and trusted advisory businesses in the structured finance market, which can also offer truly independent advice," van Bussel said. "With our combination of expertise, experience and long-standing client relationships, we are well placed to develop and sustain a very significant presence.”
Bishopsfield Capital Partners offers arranging, structuring and advisory services for European structured finance deals and investment partnerships. Founded in 2009 and based in London, the company is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
