Bankers Look to Expand SLS

Top executives from U.K. banks have lobbied the Bank of England to extend the terms of its Special Liquidity Scheme (SLS), according to market reports.

The scheme, they say, has not gone far enough in restoring confidence among the banks. It's also been reported that the bankers are proposing to include mortgages written this year as part of the loans eligible to be included under the SLS.
