Appleby opened a representative office in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the offshore law firm announced in a press release today.

The new office — Appleby (Middle East) — will cover the whole Middle East region.

Jeanne Bartlett will be the managing director of the new office. Bartlett is Appleby’s global leader for Islamic and structured finance and a partner in the legal practice in the Cayman Islands.

Last month, Appleby opened a new office in the Seychelles. It also announced a merger with Dickinson Cruickshank slated for Oct.1, making it the largest offshore firm by partner numbers, with 73 partners and more than 800 staff.
