Justin Marlowe

Endowed Professor of Public Finance and Civic Engagement Faculty

Justin Marlowe is the Endowed Professor of Public Finance and Civic Engagement at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. His research and teaching focus on capital finance, the municipal securities market, local fiscal policy, and governmental accounting. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Governing Institute and writes a regular column on public finance for Governing magazine. He has been quoted by the�Wall Street Journal,�Bloomberg,�Al Jazeera America, WNYC radio, and many�other media outlets.�He is an admitted expert witness on issues related to municipal securities, and he has served in advisory roles for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, King County (WA), the National Academy of Science, international investment banks, university endowments, and many other organizations. He is a Certified Government Financial Manager, and he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
