Herman Deutsch

Herman is TxDOT Maritime Division Director, responsible for coordinating with Texas ports, GIWW, marine-multimodal related projects and representing the Department interests with maritime stakeholders. He has been involved in the transportation industry for over 23 years in the private and public sectors. He has lived, worked and studied in the US, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, traveling extensively overseas. He was maritime & intermodal director for Middle East companies. Previously he served as Projects-Government Director at Union Pacific Railroad Companies (Ferromex-Ferrosur). He has worked as director for seaport terminal´s, stevedoring, ocean bulk carriers and trucking companies in the Americas. Herman served as Port Director at Gulf and Pacific public port authorities. Mr. Deutsch is a certified PPM from the American Association of Port Authorities, he holds a degree in Port Administration from Antwerp University (Belgium), a BS in Civil Engineering and Masters in Engineering-Planning.
