Edgar Enciso came to BBVA Compass in 2011 as director of Customer Intelligence, providing knowledge for strategic decision making through use of Big Data. He is responsible for transforming data from customers, online resources and markets into opportunities to increase cross-sell and profitability, attract balances and reduce attrition. Enciso and his department reside in the Business Development and Digital Transformation unit.Previously, Enciso was with BBVA Bancomer, starting at the BBVA Group subsidiary as MIS manager in 1992 where he integrated customer information into financial monthly tracking and incentives. In 1995, he became finance systems planning manager, developing project management methodology to align strategic business planning with information technology projects. A year later Enciso was appointed as business intelligence & development director, where he developed the customer information data mart, CRM systems and worked on processes for business intelligence, campaign management and data mining. He was also responsible for BBVA Bancomer�s business models, quality & service models and strategic planning in certain areas of the bank.Enciso earned his MBA with a concentration in finance and marketing from the University of Pittsburgh and his bachelor�s in cybernetic engineering and computer science from the Universidad La Salle in Mexico City.
