Dave Bartoletti has developed, delivered, supported, and marketed game-changing technologies for more than 25 years as a software executive at several high-profile technology and financial services leaders. He was at the forefront of the middleware, web, virtualization, automation, and cloud computing tech disruptions as both vendor and consumer.Dave has been an analyst for more than eight years, following a long career in software product management, marketing, and business development. He advises Forrester clients on public cloud computing infrastructure and development platforms, cloud cost management and optimization, software container technologies, and modern cloud service delivery techniques.Dave specializes in helping technology leaders accelerate their companies’ digital transformation initiatives, using the tools, services, and platforms available in the cloud. He is a frequent keynote speaker at premier client, vendor, and industry executive cloud computing events, and his research and opinions have been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg News, USA Today, Network World, and Forbes, along with many other industry publications.Previous Work ExperienceDave joined Forrester from Taneja Group, where he was a senior analyst and co-lead of the virtualization and cloud practice. Prior to his career as an analyst, Dave spent more than 20 years creating and marketing award-winning and industry-leading messaging middleware, virtualization, and web-based financial services tools and products. He was vice president of marketing and on the founding team of Enigmatec, a virtualization management pioneer acquired by EMC.Previously, Dave held executive positions at TIBCO Software, where he created and managed the North American professional services organization; Fidelity Investments, where he launched a suite of online portfolio management products; and Capco, where he built the company's software factory to develop financial services automation platforms.EducationDave holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Boston University and an M.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT.
