SunTrust Bank, one of the largest mortgage lenders in the U.S., is looking for a new executive to manage retail production after the departure of Martha Simmons Scott.
According to industry officials close to situation, Scott recently left the bank’s SunTrust Mortgage division where she held the title, executive vice president/national retail production manager.
Her LinkedIn page lists her time at SunTrust in the past tense. At deadline she could not be reached for comment. A public relations official for the bank did not return a telephone call about the matter.
Early last month SunTrust was dealt a blow when Mortgage Bankers Association president David Stevens decided he would not join the nation’s eighth largest retail lender and instead would stay at the trade group.
The bank is now looking for replacements for both Stevens and Scott.
