Laura Elliott moves into president seat at InspereX

InspereX, a tech-driven firm that distributes structured investments and provides trading services, has appointed Laura Elliott, its former head of capital markets and co-head of fixed income, as president.

It is a new role, and Elliott will advance the firm's strategic initiatives and business development initiatives, and ensure that customer experiences are seamless, according to a statement from the company. She will also oversee opportunities across the firm to collaborate on growth, streamline efficiencies and prepare the firm for changing market conditions and regulatory environments.

Elliott already has plenty of experience overseeing growth at InspereX. In 1999, she and Tom Ricketts co-founded Incapital, InspereX's predecessor firm. Incapital gave retail investors access to fixed income offerings, traditionally only offered to institutional investors, like InterNotes. The retail corporate notes sold to individual investor in $1,000 increments, according to the company.

Elliott helped build a partner network of more than 1,000 broker-dealers, banks and institutional investors that has distributed more than $800 billion fixed income investments and structured products.

She is also acknowledged as the driving force behind a unique syndicate that gets InspereX's offerings to retail investors, and seeks out new frontiers for the company's future business expansion plans, according to the company.

"She has always been at the forefront of serving our clients with access to investment in our industry," according to a statement from Ricketts.
