Kurtzman Carson Adds Restructuring Head

Kurtzman Carson Consultants (KCC), an El Segundo, Calif.-based provider of bankruptcy administrative services, added a director of corporate restructuring services, the firm announced Tuesday.

Benjamin Schrag joined the company and will lead corporate restructuring from its New York office.

Prior to joining KCC, Schrag was an associate with the restructuring group of law firm Kirkland & Ellis, where he focused on Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases for large companies.

Earlier this year, KCC acquired Rosenthal & Co., a company that provides administrative services to law firms, and folded it into its own class action services unit.

Kurtzman Carson has been handling increasingly complex bankruptcy cases that often involve having to contact multiple bondholders through banks and other buyers.

More bondholders are also finding themselves as holders of public securities in the wake of extensive bankruptcy reorganizations, according to KCC
