Guggenheim Securities has hired former Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers executive Thomas Humphrey to join the firm as a senior managing director.
Humphrey was most recently head of Deutsche’s corporate banking and securities for the Americas, and was chief executive of Deutsche Bank Securities. He joined Deutsche in September 2014, following a stint as a partner at GoldenTree Asset Management where he led business development.
He spent nearly two decades at Lehman where he was head of global fixed-income sales and part of Lehman’s management committee before the investment bank’s collapse in 2008. Prior to joining GoldenTree, Humphrey was also at Barclays Capital in senior management roles in global fixed income sales and global credit.
Humphrey stated in a release that Guggenheim is “uniquely positioned to continue to grow its overall corporate advisory and capital markets franchise.”
