Ginnie Mae beginning in September and thereafter will be releasing its monthly disclosure file on outstanding Ginnie Mae securities around 10 business days earlier than it previously did, the agency announced today.
Instead of disclosing the data on the second business day following the month when the data is collected, the agency will make the MBS data available on the 15th business day of the month in which the information is collected.
In other words, Ginnie Mae now collects disclosure data on the second business day of the month for the prior month’s activity.
After gathering the information, the files are released on the second business day of the following month.
Thus, minus the change, data for September 2010 activity would not be available until the second business day of November. But with this change, the data will now be available on the fifteenth business day of October.
