Leonard Aubrey

Len directs NYIT’s financial activities and also supervises real estate, extended education, and food service activities. Before joining NYIT in 2003, he was President and CEO of NYU Downtown Hospital, a community teaching hospital located near the World Trade Center. He led the hospital’s direct participation in the events of September 11, 2001. Len had previously served as the Hospital’s CFO and directed a financial turnaround and major rebuilding project. He also has extensive financial and management experience with New York City’s Health and Hospitals Corporation, Office of Economic Development, and Office of Management and Budget. He holds a MBA from Baruch College, CUNY, MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a BBA from the University of Massachusetts.
