Prudential Securities has snagged mortgage veteran Paul Rubinstein to serve as senior vice president of asset-backed securities research. Rubinstein was most recently an investment banker in the asset-backed group at Chase Securities, and he is widely known as a market guru in home equity loans from stints at Chase, PaineWebber and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette.

Gwynneth Berexa has been named vice-president of securitization at West Deutsche Landesbank. She had previously been head of funding at the bank.

Duff & Phelps hired Jin Hwang from Citicorp. He will be an analyst in the asset-backed group's credit card area. Duff also hired Darren Davies to help out in marketing in its mortgage-backed operations.

Sarah Knutson has left her assistant vice president's position in Citibank's CLO/CBO area to move over to Rothschild. She will report to Jewelle Bickford.

Jennifer Vento has left the loan products group at Fitch IBCA to join Deloitte & Touche's securitization advisory services group as a manager. Vento was a CLO/CBO specialist while at Fitch.
