ING Barings has recently hired Hidehiro Katsumata as head of its Japan securitization team in Tokyo. He replaces Yukio Rokuura, who has moved to the financial engineering department at ING Bank. Katsumata had previously worked in the structured finance group at Daiwa SB Capital Markets. His appointment follows that of John Mullins, who will be head of Asian securitization for ING Barings starting October 1.

Marcus Elsum, director of asset finance at Warburg Dillon Read in Tokyo, will move to Sydney to head up WDR's structured finance business in Australia starting in November. Meanwhie, WDR has hired Clem Salwin as head of the real estate group in the corporate finance team. Salwin will focus on Japan's growing commercial real estate securitization market, as well as other forms of real estate finance. Previously he was head of BT Property in Australia.
