Thacher Proffitt & Wood has re-elected Paul Tvetenstrand as chairman and managing partner of the firm. Tvetenstrand was elected in February 2003 to the position, succeeding Omer S.J. "Jack" Williams, who had been chairman and managing partner of Thacher for the past 12 years. Tvetenstrand is a partner in the structured finance group at the law firm, focusing on MBS. He has represented a lot of investment banking firm as issuers or underwriters in public offerings and privmet placements of mortgage passthroughs.
