Stenham Appoints New Head of U.K. Property

Stenham, the global investment management group, has appointed Andy Taylor as head of U.K. property.

The group said it was making a strategic decision to return to the U.K. commercial property market after concentrating its acquisition strategy abroad since early 2005. The current financial markets turmoil and the need for some asset managers to liquidate property portfolios is beginning to offer exceptional value in U.K. commercial property.

"For the past few years, we have concentrated our investment activity in markets other than the UK, primarily in Germany, Switzerland and Japan," said Paul Arenson, managing director of Stenham Property. "We again feel that there are significant opportunities arising in the U.K. commercial property sector to acquire properties offering exceptional value."

Stenham currently has approximately £2 billion ($2.9 billion) of property assets under management.
