S&P Expands Credit Ratings Education Program in Europe

Standard & Poor’s has launched a new program of short courses dubbed Elements of Standard & Poor's.

The program is designed to provide a wider range of market participants with a better understanding of the analysis, methodologies and processes behind its corporate and structured finance ratings.

The new offering underscores the rating agency’s commitment to more effectively educate the marketplace about ratings, and forms a key part of the market education and transparency actions announced by the company on Feb. 7.

The first course will be held in London on Oct. 1 and will provide a broad overview of S&P’s ratings services.
