Moody's Promotes Scholz and Swan

Moody's ecently announced two promotions in its European structured finance team, where staff numbers have more than doubled in the past year.

Detlef Scholz becomes managing director, Europe within the International Structured Finance Group, a new position. He joins London-based Robbin Conner and Paris-based Catherine Gerst in managing the three teams in the burgeoning European securitization market. Scholz will coordinate Moody's efforts in Europe's RMBS, CMBS, repackaged bonds and property-related whole-business securitizations.

Dominic Swan becomes senior vice president structured finance ratings. He will spearhead the development of key investor and issuer relationships, and also ensure ongoing consistency of the rating process. In his new role, Swan will also manage Moody's European MTN desk, and chair rating committees.
