Moody's names EMEA senior managing director

Moody's Investors Service has named Frederic Drevon as senior managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He replaces Michael Foley, who will return to the U.S. to head up global business development and issuer relations.

In Drevon's new role, he will be in charge of operations in the EMEA region, including continuing responsibility for managing Moody's' consumer ABS and CMBS businesses. He will also provide regional oversight and coordination of company ratings and credit derivatives ratings business, the research business and European regulatory affairs and compliance. Additionally, he will lead the firm's regional business development and geographic expansion initiatives, Moody's said in a statement.

In his new role, Drevon will report to Chester V.A. Murray, executive vice president, international. In his capacity as head of the European structured finance business, Drevon will report to Brian Clarkson, executive vice president and co-chief operating officer at Moody's.

Drevon was most recently the group managing director in international structured finance at Moody's.
