Fitch ABCP analyst passes away

Mick Brown, a Fitch Ratings  ABCP analyst passed away last Friday due to complications of pneumonia. He was 46. He is survived by his wife Janet, his four year old daughter Samantha, his sister Lorraine, a brother and his parents.

Brown joined Fitch last April after spending eight years as a buy-side research analyst at Charles Schwab. Prior to Schwab, he held positions at D.M. Stone & Co. and Krambo Corp. in San Francisco and Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. in Novato, California. He also held numerous analytical certifications including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM).

A memorial service is expected to be held later this week and a trust fund is being established for the benefit of his family. If ABS market participants have questions, they can contact Debbie Seife, managing director at Fitch's business development group .
