DLA Piper Adds to Finance Practice

DLA Piper announced that eight partners will be joining the Corporate and Finance Practice in New York and London .

Jeffrey B. Steiner, who joins from Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner, will become co-chair of the U.S. Finance Group and will focus on building out the firm’s business in real estate, finance and related capital markets engagements.

He brings with him a team of seven, which includes Scott A. Weinberg, Robert M. Unger , Rand B. Peppas , Marc B. Friedman , R. Kenneth MacCallum , Robert S. Mower and Jason R. Goldstein . The group has prior experience in financing transactions and related alternative structures for complex assets (both real estate and non-real estate), warehouse facilities and repo lines, hybrid debt and equity structures, privatizations of REITs as well as single asset projects and portfolio transactions.

They will work closely with colleagues throughout DLA Piper’s network in Europe , Asia and the Middle East , as well as across the U.S. and are expected to join in September.

Steiner, Weinberg, Unger, Peppas, MacCallum and Goldstein will be based in New York , while Friedman and Mower will be based in London .
