Doetsch actually believes that Colombian law upholds the true sale of receivables in a transaction for Avianca, a Colombian airline in bankruptcy proceeding. In addition, he argues that the U.S. court reviewing the case should recognize Colombian law as the legal underpinning for the transaction.
