Amherst Securities Group, a broker-dealer specializing in RMBS, tapped Laurie Zeller as senior managing director of trading. Zeller will also serve as co-head of agency mortgage products and will be based in Amhersts New York office, which is scheduled to open in September 2008.
Previously, Zeller was a managing director at Bear Stearns for four years, overseeing the agency pass-through and CMO bond-trading desks. Prior to that, Zeller worked at Fannie Mae for 12 years as director of portfolio management. Zellers hiring follows the addition of three other industry veterans who joined Amherst earlier this summer as part of a company-wide expansion program.
