Steven Dworkin

Managing Director

Mr. Dworkin is a 30-year veteran of municipal finance, and has extensive experience with all types of municipal transactions. He is the Head of the Western Region for Public Finance at J.P. Morgan.  He has helped his clients meet strategic and financial objectives utilizing a broad range of tax-exempt, taxable and derivative products.  Mr. Dworkin provides value-added banking to utility, infrastructure, and general government issuers.  His list of West Coast clients include, among others: State of California, City of Los Angeles, City of Santa Clara, City of San Diego, County of Los Angeles, County of Sacramento, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Los Angeles World Airports, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Modesto Irrigation District, Port of Los Angeles, Sacramento County Water Agency, Sacramento Airport, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Southern California Public Power Authority and the Transmission Agency of Northern California. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Dworkin was Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns from 1989 to June 2008.  Prior employers also include Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Dworkin is Treasurer and CFO of the Board of Trustees for the Windward School in Los Angeles, where he heads the Finance Committee and serves as a member of the Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Art Association – Gallery 825, a non-profit organization supporting Southern California emerging artists. Mr. Dworkin’s educational background includes an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA degree from Columbia University.
