Michele Elrod

EVP, Head of Marketing

Michele Elrod joined Regions in 1984 and provides strategic marketing direction and management as the Head of Marketing for Regions. Regions is a top U.S. bank-holding company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with $117 billion in assets, operating over 1,700 banking offices and 2,000 ATMs in 16 states across the South, Midwest and Texas.,Before serving in her current position, Michele held a number of management roles in strategic marketing and sales training for AmSouth and Regions Banks, and was the Marketing Director for The First National Bank of Tuskaloosa. Prior to entering the financial industry, Michele served in management roles directing public and media relations, fundraising, education and volunteer services in the Mental Health Services industry.Michele has a master�s degree from the University of Alabama in Communication and Marketing and is a 2003 graduate of the AmSouth Leadership Program with the Georgia School of Business. She is also a graduate of MOMENTUM, the Birmingham Women�s Leadership Program. Michele has attended AmSouth College with the Georgia School of Business and completed the Chairman�s Stone Mountain Project. She has served in board positions on the Mental Health Association of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, The Tuscaloosa Spouse Abuse Network and the Tuscaloosa Ad Club.� She was voted top Woman under 30 by the Tuscaloosa YWCA.�Michele currently serves as a mentor in the University Of Alabama College Of Business Mentor Program and is the Executive Sponsor and a Mentor for Regions� 2013 Emerging Leaders Program in Birmingham. Michele is voting member of Regions� Product Development Approval Committee, Regions360 Committee, and the Corporate Diversity Committee. Michele is a member of Regions� Leadership Group.Speaking engagements in the past two years include Argyle conferences where Michele served on panels discussing Social Media and Marketing to the �New Consumer.�� Michele served on a cross-industry panel for a Merkle Executive Summit regarding the use of Big Data and Changing Roles of Marketing. In September, 2013 she spoke as one of two executives addressing �The Adaptive Customer Enterprise,� at Merkle�s Financial Services Executive CRM Exchange. For the BAI 2013 Retail Delivery Conference, Michele was one of three in a panel to discuss, �Integrating Sales and Marketing to Drive Sales Growth.�
