Matthew Homer

Policy Staff

Matt Homer is a member of the policy staff at the FDIC where he monitors and analyzes consumer finance topics, including mobile financial services, emerging payments, and student lending. He also works on FDIC initiatives related to economic inclusion. Prior to this role, he was a strategy consultant for Deloitte Consulting, where he worked with government and financial institution clients on matters related to financial regulatory reform. He also previously worked for The Century Foundation, a policy think tank, as an analyst focused on domestic and international policy issues. Matt graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with bachelor degrees in economics and international studies. He also received a Master of Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Kennedy School Review.
