John is a Partner and Co-Founder of Harbor View Advisors and has over 25 years of experience as an investment banker, investor, equity research analyst and management consultant. He leads Harbor View’s Financial Technology industry practice with a focus on mortgage-related services, payment processing and technology serving the financial services industry. Harbor View is a specialized investment bank that works with clients in the software and business services industries. The firm's unique approach combines the strategic thinking of a consulting firm with the execution capability of an investment bank to provide clients with the full spectrum of guidance they need to achieve their long-term goals. Harbor View offers M&A advisory, corporate finance, private placement and strategic consulting services for fast-growing technology companies. John’s research covering the IT/Services sector spanned companies with a total market capitalization of $90 billion across four industries including financial services, payment processing, business process outsourcing, and business intelligence. Companies under coverage included: Accenture, Amdocs, ADP, EDS, First Data Corp, Fiserv, Global Payments and Paychex. John’s experience also extends to the “buy-side” as a Partner at Camelot Capital, a large privately held hedge fund with targeted investments in public and private software and services companies. John led the investment decisions involving 80 companies in ten industries including business and financial services, payment processing, telecom services and security.As a Principal for A.T. Kearney, John managed global consulting engagements in the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Sweden and the United Kingdom. John’s practice expertise included international supply chain, global sourcing, process reengineering and strategic planning. A sample of his client engagements included: ANZ Bank, General Motors, Rolls Royce, Sears and Visa. John received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from DePauw University. He is registered with FINRA and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
