Jeffrey Powell, 15-year Wall Street veteran, Adjunct Professor at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University, and 3-term Habitat for Humanity Board Member is leading the discussion on Impact Investing for Economic Improvement. (�Double Bottom-line Returns�) Prior to launching The Capital Maverick Group, he served as Vice President in The Private Bank at Wells Fargo Bank & Co. He advised both ultra-affluent clients and private entities on a variety of strategic and financing initiatives with a particular emphasis on credit lending, investment management and trust and estate planning.Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank & Co., Mr. Powell�s past executive experience included Vice President of Sales and Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Global Bank and Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the Private Wealth Management Group, where he managed over $800 million in assets and liabilities for both public and private investors. Mr. Powell received his undergraduate degree from The College at Brockport, located in Upstate New York. He holds multiple securities licenses in addition to his Certification in Finance from Columbia University School of Business. He is an active board member and community philanthropist in both New York and Texas.Former board positions include the Houston Habitat for Humanity, Houston Homeless Society and Houston Museum of Fine Arts - Buffalo Solider National Museum Fund Raising Chair. He is also a member of the United Way of Greater Houston (Project Blue Print Alumni) and Leadership Houston Class XXXII.
