Acting Special Assistant to the Director, Division of Risk Management Supervision

Donald Saxinger has been a bank regulator for over 24 years.��He is currently the team leader for IT and operations risk in the FDIC's Division of Risk management.��His role is to identify threats and risk trends related to cyber, payments, and operations in the financial sector through coordination with sector partnerships, law enforcement, trade associations, foreign regulators, examination activities, and the IT security industry and convert those risks into supervisory activities.��He has held various roles at the FDIC including being the lead developer of the FDIC's IT examination standards and procedures, designer of the FDIC’s IT examiner education program, Chief of the IT Supervision Section, Chair of the FFIEC Handbook Working Group, Case Manager, and IT Examiner. �
